Building a Dream - The New Ogontz Hall

We are pleased to announce that construction is well underway on the new Ogontz Hall, our new performance and events facility located on the site of our old Pavillion/Sr. Rec Hall that was destroyed by fire in 1987. After years of planning, we are very excited to be adding a new chapter to Ogontz's history.

The building was designed by world renowned architect David Sellers. It will feature a modified form of heavy timber framing, using the trees of Ogontz as its primary backbone for interior and exterior support. Eventually, the space will include an archival library, music library, office spaces, conference rooms, a large interior performance hall, lodging areas, an outdoor amphitheater stage area, car garage, a rehearsal room, lounge, bathroom/showers, catering kitchen, and a separate and self contained events apartment for smaller groups. The main hall will seat 350 theater tyle, and the balcony will seat 40. The total building will have about 23,500 square feet.
